It isn’t easy being a teen these days. Ever feel like you just want to swear about it? Come share your experience and work on stress busting yoga and mindfulness strategies that will help you manage your stressors so that you can choose where and when to drop the F-bomb. Class will begin with a short share and discussion each week, followed by a yoga and relaxation practice suitable for all fitness levels. 
This class is open to high school students.

Sound Healing Training: Tibetan Singing Bowls & Other Bronze Instruments

This exciting full-day class is set up to teach you the most up-to-date information pertaining to Tibetan Singing Bowls and bronze instruments. The day will start with simple effective methods and add or rearrange instruments to work with the 5 Elements getting more complex as the day goes on.  Truly an eye opening day of learning while receiving as everyone will get table time. 

You will learn how to:

*Play using different methods

*Choose the proper mallets

*Understand how sound works around the room

*Listen with intention, to hear what qualities to look for in a bowl

*Learn about the different voices in a bowl and how to follow what is happening as they ascend and descend

*Know what to look for in a bowl before purchasing a bowl.

*Understand the pulse wave and form of the instruments and how to allow yourself to enter that field while facilitating a private or group setting.

*Understand the speed, pressure, rotation of the bowl, and how every bowl you play is unique.

*How to blend in or bridge different bronze instruments for different textures in simple rhythmic ways to deepen the experience your looking for.

*How the 5 Elements work with establishing better health and peace of mind.

*How to adapt your playing when working with special populations. 

Class Tuition is $250 plus materials

Everyone will receive a Certificate of Achievement, and have the option to dive deeper in a training that is based on many different ways of application on people.

Yoga for Cyclists & Basic Bike Ninja Maintenance Workshop, A Smilow Fundraiser

Do you like to cycle?
Do you like to raise money for a great cause?
And what about your bike maintenance skills?
Do you like to have fun, too?

If you have answered “yes” to any of the above questions, this class + workshop are for you!

Julie Bailis will lead you all in a one-hour yoga class specifically designed for all of you cyclists out there. Loosen up, prevent injury,feel great, and meet other cyclists!

Class will be followed by an awesome workshop called, “Basic Bike Maintenance”. Last month Karl Borne of True Cyclery showed us how to change a flat like a pro. In this workshop, Karl will teach us:

basic bike maintenance
things to check before a long ride
knowing when to “ride on” and when to call an Uber.
