Please join us for Mountain View’s first Women’s clothing swap!
Refresh your wardrobe, reduce landfill waste, find clothes you feel great in, bring friends, and meet new people!
In preparation for this event, please:
*Bring 5-10 articles of clean, new or gently used clothing, shoes, bags, scarves, and/or shoes.
*No rips, holes, or pilling.
*Bring clothes on hangers.
*Bring your own reusable shopping bags.
Snacks & Refreshments will be served.
Event starst at 11 am. Please be prompt because we will use the first 30 minutes to set up the shop with your help :).
Nichole Bainer will also lead us in a short presentation about clothes waste and ways we can reduce landfill waste. She will also lead us in a meditation about letting go of what no longer serves us and inviting new energy into our lives and closets.
In case you go perusing through your closets once last time before tomorrow, I wanted to let you know that we have decided to include the following as part of the swap:
handbags, jewelry, belts, scarves, and really any other item you would consider to be part of your wardrobe :).
Also, this is not a 1-for-1 swap. Some people might bring 10 quality items and decide to leave with nothing. Others might bring 5 things and leave with 8! Who knows? All of the items will be going to St. Peter's Church and their outreach programs, so we can all know that the items will go to those who need them :).
Cost is $10
In order to ensure that this event runs smoothly an on time, please take a moment to pre-register.
